Milton has been the expert in sterilising and hygiene within the baby environment for the past 65 years.
Milton contacted The Chemistry Works initially for industrial/mechanical product design for a range of products.
Once developed, the brief was then extended to refreshing the brand image of Milton through packaging design, photography and a new website.
The ‘total brand solution’ was carried out by a team of brand experts within The Chemistry Works.
New product design, refreshed packaging design, clean/ fresh/ modern photography and a new global website.
The modernity of the product design dictated the need to refresh the brand image of Milton.
The packaging design focused on creating a contemporary feel whilst maintaining the heritage of an established brand. ‘Not throwing the baby out with the bath water’ couldn’t be more appropriate for this brief!
Clear product differentiation/product usage was key as Milton moved into different sterilising areas.
Maintaining the Milton core brand confidence to new young mothers was essential.
The photography had to represent diverse and modern families ‘of today’ and above all, exude hygiene.
To this end, all the photography was shot in a clinical but homely studio environment showing Mums and Dads involved in the childs parenting.
Whilst obviously maintaining the new brand vision for Milton, the website was built with functionality at its core with the added benefit of Milton being able to move forward and manage the website themselves.
We were thrilled with the results, and even more delighted when Milton brand manager, Christine Dugendre complimented us on bringing “modernity and emotion to the brand.”
